Mektory for students
What does Mektory offer you as a student?
Interesting and comfortable rooms! We are open from Monday to Friday 8.30-21.00 and on Saturdays from 10.00-18.00. You can use all of the rooms in Mektory for free!
The rooms are meant for different group work, projects and brainstorming. The rooms are designed with the idea that you could work there for the whole day and still not feel tired. Most of the rooms also have top-notch technological solutions for your presentation needs. The whole centre is covered with a fast free WiFi network by Ericsson. More information here!
Laboratories and workshops
You want to build prototypes and fulfil your ideas, but you have no place where to do so? Come and check out our labs! We have electronics, mechatronics, woodworking, metalworking, painting and a welding laboratory in the centre. We also have different smart devices on which you can for example test the applications you are developing. Come and ask how to use the laboratories!
Students create teams and come up with ideas, which will be developed and tested during the TalTech Mektory STARTERtech pre-incubation program. The best time to start your business is during your student years!
Come and see what's up!
Come to the centre and see what possibilities it holds for you. You can come at any time. If you are coming from the main building of the university then head towards the stadium through the little park and you will see a red brick building with big yellow Mektory logos. You can walk around the house on your own and see the address is Raja 15.
We also have house tours for groups as well. If you have a group of people and want to register yourself for a free of charge one hour long house tour you can write to mektory at taltech dot ee and find a time suitable for you.
What does Mektory expect from you?
We expect that while in the house you are respectful with the other visitors and help us in creating a work environment that everybody could enjoy. Also since we are a part of Tallinn University of Technology all of the same rules that apply in any of its institutions also apply here. Lets make our time together enjoyable!
